Changelog

What changed in each release of Sharkhex Classifieds.

Releases of Sharkhex Classifieds, newest first. A release covers the website, the admin panel, the API and the apps together, under the same number. Each one says under Taking this release what moving to it involves.

0.9.0, first release candidate

The first release: a classifieds marketplace on Symfony 8 and PHP 8.4, one install per brand, with everything that makes it a brand in the admin settings or a theme.

  • Listings: photos in several sizes, fields for each category, prices that are fixed, negotiable, free or open to swaps, the condition, price offers and reserved listings, and a category tree with a page for each category and place.
  • Search: filters for every field, regions and distance, suggestions, recent and popular searches, saved searches with alerts, recommendations and recently viewed listings.
  • Accounts: private and business sellers, teams and stock feeds for businesses, phone verification, seller pages and reviews, Facebook and Apple sign-in, notifications by email, push and in the site, data export and retention periods.
  • Selling: paid posting in chosen categories, featured, highlighted and urgent listings, bumps, extra listing slots and dealer plans, paid through Stripe, NETOPIA or PayPal, with receipts and refunds.
  • Templates: general, cars, property and services marketplaces with their categories, fields and demo content, installed with one command.
  • Listing assistant: a suggested title, category and details from the photos, with Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini or Grok.
  • Moderation and admin: reports, banned words, copied-photo detection, a review queue and bans, and a dashboard with figures, charts and exports.
  • Apps: iOS and Android from one Expo codebase and one brand file, talking to the API at /api/v1, with push notifications and links that open the app.
  • Operations: a scheduler and worker, a health check, backups, Sentry, a production Docker image, the installer and the update command.

Taking this release

The first release: new installs run php bin/console app:install, and nothing else is needed.
