Who we are

This website is operated by Sharkbyte Corp ("Sharkbyte", "we"). You can reach us through the contact form.

Purchases

Licenses of Sharkhex Spaces, Sharkhex Delivery and Sharkhex Classifieds, and the hosted plans of Sharkhex Spaces, are sold through Link, the merchant of record service of Stripe. Link takes the payment, charges the sales tax or VAT of your country, sends the receipt and answers questions about billing, under the terms its checkout shows. A license is granted by Sharkbyte under the license terms; a hosted plan is provided by Sharkbyte under the terms below.

Refunds

Licenses and hosted plans are not refundable, except where the law requires a refund.

Hosted Sharkhex Spaces

  • The plans. A hosted plan is a monthly subscription to a Sharkhex Spaces platform that Sharkbyte runs on its servers, with the platform's administration in your hands. Each plan sets how many people may be online at once and whether meetings are recorded: up to 30 people without recordings, or up to 75 people with recordings, each kept for 45 days and then deleted. The plan's limits are set by Sharkbyte and cannot be changed from the platform's administration. For more people or other limits, write to us.
  • Addresses. The platform answers at an address under sharkhex.com, and a multi-tenant platform's organisations at addresses under that one. You may point a domain of your own at the platform at no charge.
  • Renewal and cancellation. A plan renews every month until it is cancelled. You may cancel at any time from your Link account; the platform keeps running until the end of the month you paid for.
  • Failed payments. When a renewal cannot be charged, Link tries again for a while; a plan whose payment never succeeds ends.
  • After the end. When a plan ends, the platform stops. Its data is kept for 30 days, so that a renewed plan starts where it stopped, and is then deleted.
  • Your content. What you and your users put on the platform stays yours. Sharkbyte processes it only to run the platform, on your behalf.
  • Fair use. Sharkbyte may suspend a platform that is used to break the law or that endangers its servers or other clients, after notice by email where the danger allows it.
  • Liability. The platform is provided as it is. Sharkbyte's liability for a hosted plan is limited to what you paid for it in the last 12 months, except where the law does not allow such a limit.

Use of the website

You may browse the website and its documentation freely. You may not scrape it at a rate that burdens it, attempt to break it, or use the contact form for unsolicited advertising.

Liability

The website and its content are provided as they are. To the extent the law allows, Sharkbyte is not liable for losses that result from using the website or relying on its content.

Changes

We may change these terms; the version published here applies. Material changes are announced on this page.

Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Romania. Disputes are brought before the courts of Prahova county, unless mandatory consumer law gives you another forum.
